Overview
Mental Health Awareness Month, observed globally every May, is a time to educate the public, reduce stigma, and promote mental wellness for all. At the Kenya Psychiatric Association (KPA), the 2025 campaign focused on the theme “Embracing Mental Wellness Through Every Generation,” highlighting the importance of supporting mental health across the lifespan, from childhood to old age.
The campaign was an opportunity to bring mental health to the forefront of national dialogue and to strengthen support systems in homes, schools, workplaces, and communities.

As we reflect on Mental Health Awareness Month 2025, I am proud of the strides we have made together as a community. This year’s theme reminded us that mental health is a shared responsibility and that each generation brings unique perspectives and needs. I thank all our partners, speakers, volunteers, and participants for making this month impactful and inspiring.
